Thanks be to God!

Our mission team headed out on Friday, January 8, and returned January 21, after a successful mission!

The group had participants from St. Paul’s Elmira, Redeemer Waterloo, Historic St. Paul’s Kitchener, Bethel Kitchener, Pilgrim Hamilton, Christ Mississauga, and two from Winnipeg. Contact person is team leader Lisa Jackson –  jacklis [at] gmail.com.

What did the 2016 mission trip include?

  • Bible studies for adults
  • distributing food hampers free to needy families (cost per hamper $25)
  • construction on an agricultural project on the church grounds in Telica

To get a better idea, click here for highlights (pictures and information) of the 2014 and 2015 Nicaragua Mission trips.

Pray:
Please keep the team members and all the ongoing outreach work in Nicaragua in your prayers!

Ladies’ Tuesday Work Group – material, sewing, yarn needed

Quilting LadiesCan you help?

1) The Ladies’ Tuesday Quilting Work Group  needs patterned material to make quilt tops for mission projects.

Also, anyone who would be able to sew, either at home or come in to the Church on Tuesday mornings to sew, is asked to please contact either Dorothy Jacobs or Joyce Murray.

2) Our knitters are running low on yarn for missions projects, and would appreciate donations of any kind of yarn. Please place the yarn downstairs on the bench in the ladies’ quilting area.

Thank-you!

Photo Library

Photo Library

Anyone interested in receiving a DVD containing pictures from Redeemer’s past, please see Carol Weiberg for a copy. Our plan is to continue adding pictures to this “photo library” each year and making them available at the beginning of each New Year.

If you currently have any pictures, digital, paper photographs or slides, that you would like to share with our members, please contact Darryll Holland and he will include them on our next DVD.

Also, if you plan on attending any of Redeemer functions in the future and are able to take pictures that we can include in the future, it would be appreciated.  As we look at the photos we do have, we realize that we never take enough pictures capturing our history.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Darryll at your convenience.
